KERRY WEEKEND – CARRAUNTOOHIL, KILLARNEY & DINGLE BAY (28th-31st August 2021)

Trekking NI journeyed to Killarney in Co. Kerry for the weekend. We dined at Kitty O’Se’s restaurant in a buzzing Killarney town the evening before an early rise for our adventure up Carrauntoohill. This was the perfect hike. The weather was just right, the views were majestic and the company was fantastic. There were chilled and feel good vibes throughout. Following the hike, some of the group went for a spontaneous post hike pint before re-joining the rest of the pack for a BBQ at the apartment. Into the night, some of the group explored Killarney town night life whilst others conversed under the stars before we all reunited and ended the night together. The next morning saw us tour the beautiful Killarney National Park with immaculate gardens, forestry, lakes and of course Torc Waterfall. Afterwards we travelled to Dingle Bay and spent our afternoon at a serene spot on Inch Beach. We then spent the evening in Cronins restaurant to conclude an epic and memorable weekend.
