Trekking NI commenced 2022 hiking schedule with a visit to the beautiful Glenariff Forest Park Trails. The morning began overcast with a cold drizzle. Initially we followed an ascending trail being greeted with views of the surrounding landscape displaying fields of green, forestry and mountains looking out onto the sea. The forest trail had a variety of ascent, decent, twists and turns making it a fun trail. The preceding precipitation provided the right ingredients for the waterfalls to flow majestically. Glenariff is definitely worth a visit after rainfall. The soothing symphony of the waterfalls played in the background as we journeyed through the forest peacefully chatting. This was a nice laid back forest trek with company good for the soul.
